How does electrostatic spraying work?
Electrostatic spraying provides objects with an even, 360-degree coating made possible by the negative charge of the sprayed solution as it exits the tool’s nozzle and the positive charge of the surfaces it connects with. It effectively atomizes cleaning solutions in this way, using electrostatics to attach to and wrap around harmful microorganisms and remove them from surfaces, including those that are difficult to reach.
What are the benefits of electrostatic disinfection and why should I consider it for my facility?
Electrostatic disinfection saves time, energy, and money as it is a more efficient alternative to traditional techniques and solution applications. It helps aid infection control and prevents the spread of viruses. It also applies chemicals to surfaces in a controlled manner which eliminates overuse, reduces the amount of chemicals used and lessens the amount of waste produced. Electrostatic disinfection reduces the time it takes to disinfect surfaces when compared to traditional sanitization methods.
Where can electrostatic disinfection be used?
You can use electrostatic disinfection cleaning methods on many surfaces and in many facility types. This cleaning technique is safe to use in offices, schools, hospitals, small businesses, nursing homes and a number of other industries.
What are the benefits of continued use?
Electrostatic disinfection destroys germs, bacteria and viruses from surfaces and lasts for awhile. However, it does not guarantee that the treated surfaces may become infected again at some point.
How quickly does electrostatic disinfection work?
Immediately- when applied and the surfaces should remain wet with solutions for at least three minutes. It is standard practice that these chemicals are applied while spaces are vacant.
Will electrostatic spray damage any surfaces in my facility?
Electrostatic spray is safe for use around most surfaces, including steel, wood, laptops, office supplies, and kitchen areas.
Why is electrostatic disinfection more effective than other cleaning methods?
Electrostatic disinfection reduces the amount of time it takes to entirely disinfect surfaces by up to 50%. Therefore, it is an effective method especially when compared to more traditional cleaning techniques. It is a better way to reach surfaces that may be challenging to clean, provides a more even coating of chemical solutions to objects, promotes quick & cost-effective commercial cleaning and offers many other benefits to businesses. Other cleaning methods, such as fogging systems, misters and manual sprayers take a much more passive approach to applying cleaning solutions, which tends to lead to more uneven chemical coverage. In addition, they are more likely to leave behind unwanted particles and microorganisms while also taking longer to manually apply.
Is electrostatic disinfection right for my specific facility?
Electrostatic disinfection is used at several different types of facilities and is most beneficial to those that see high traffic, contain hard-to-reach objects that need cleaning, have increased exposure to harmful microorganisms or suspect an outbreak of an infectious disease. It has also proven to be effective in spaces where mold has been spotted.
